MINDGRID

For corps members

Tech courses for NYSC corps members

A service year is twelve months with a fixed CDS day, PPA hours that vary, and often a posting far from home. It is also one of the few stretches of adult life with a predictable schedule. Mindgrid Academy does not run a separate NYSC programme; what it offers corps members is two honest ways into the same courses everyone else takes: self-paced courses at ₦50,000 that fit around service, and live cohorts you can apply to with a scholarship.

Note for corps members: Serving corps members get 30% off cohort tuition for the November 2026 cohort. Apply for a scholarship, say that you are serving (batch, state and PPA) in your pitch, and your award will be at least 30% of tuition. A larger award is still possible where there is financial need.

  • ₦50,000

    self-paced courses

  • Recorded

    every live class

  • Up to 100%

    cohort scholarship

  • Verifiable

    certificate with QR

Two routes

Self-paced around your PPA, or a live cohort with a scholarship

Both routes lead to the same certificate. The difference is how much of your week they ask for, and what they cost.

Self-paced courses

₦50,000, start today

Recorded lessons, built-in tests and a certificate at the end, all in your dashboard. No fixed class time, so a Thursday CDS or a PPA that keeps you late costs you nothing. Best if your posting, power or data make scheduled classes unrealistic, or if you only have a phone for the lessons.

  • Enrol directly, no application
  • Study in short sessions
  • Same verifiable certificate

Live cohort + scholarship

Next cohort 2 November 2026, awards up to 100%

Scheduled classes on Google Meet with a vetted working professional as tutor, classmates, graded assignments and every class recorded. Cohort tuition is ₦200,000 to ₦500,000 by track, which is why the scholarship matters: corps members are welcome to apply, it is free, and the decision arrives by email within 7 days.

In your pitch:say that you are serving, name your PPA and your location, and describe your weekly schedule. Reviewers weigh financial need first, and a corps member's allowance is a financial situation they understand.

Studying during service year

Built for unreliable power, patchy data and a CDS day

None of this is NYSC-specific; it is how every Mindgrid course already works. It happens to suit a service year unusually well.

Every class is recorded

Live sessions on Google Meet are recorded automatically and land in your dashboard. Miss one for CDS or a power cut and you watch it that night.

Short sessions work

Self-paced lessons are chunked, so forty minutes after PPA hours moves you forward. You do not need a free weekend.

Plan your data

Video is the heavy part. Download-friendly evenings, a cheap night bundle or the PPA Wi-Fi at lunch all work; the platform does not need a constant connection between lessons.

Phone or laptop

Lessons play on a phone. Engineering tracks need a laptop for the practical work; management and marketing tracks can be followed mostly on a phone.

How it works

Four steps from today to a certificate before passing out

  1. 1

    Pick a route

Self-paced if you need to fit study around CDS days and PPA hours, or a live cohort (with a scholarship application) if you can commit to scheduled classes.

  2. 2

    Enrol or apply

Self-paced: pay once and start the same day. Cohort: apply for a scholarship first — it is free — and say in your pitch that you are serving, where your PPA is and what your schedule looks like.

  3. 3

    Study around service

Live classes run on Google Meet and are recorded automatically, so a CDS clash or a power cut is a replay, not a missed class. Self-paced lessons are always available in your dashboard.

  4. 4

    Finish with proof

Every course ends with an "AI in your field" module and a resume-and-interview module, then a certificate with a unique ID and QR code that any employer can verify online.

What you finish with

A certificate an employer can check, and a resume that is ready

Every course, cohort or self-paced, ends with two modules: “AI in your field”, covering the tools now expected in that job, and “Prepare Your Resume & Ace the Interview”. Then a certificate with a unique ID and a QR code. Anyone can scan it or type the ID at /academy/verify-certificate and see that it is real. Tutors are vetted working professionals, interviewed and approved before they teach.

  • Unique ID + QR

    Public verification page per certificate.

  • Vetted tutors

    Working professionals, interviewed and approved.

  • Resume module

Closes every course, cohort or self-paced.

  • Same certificate

Nothing on it says scholarship or self-paced.

Yes. Serving corps members get 30% off cohort tuition for the November 2026 cohort.
